HandBrake is a free yet powerful open-source video transcoder and converter that supports nearly any known format. Its user-friendly interface and wide selection of preset options allow you to encode your videos with ease.

The first step is to select your source video or directory, either by browsing your local storage or dragging the file or folder into the screen.
Video Settings
Next, select your output video file format. We recommend using an MP4 file extension, as this format is supported by most web browsers and devices.
The default settings of HandBrake already have our recommended settings, but you can tweak other options before encoding your video to get your desired result.
Recommended settings:
- Resolution: 1080p HD (also referred to as FHD or 2K resolution), as this results in a smoother and sharper display.
- Frame rate (FPS): 23.976 fps to 30 fps, giving your videos a cinematic feel.
- Codec: H.264, as it's supported by almost every device.
Output File
Before you start encoding your video, check which folder the output will be saved to. Click the Browse button to choose a different folder on your local storage.
To rename the file before saving it, you can do so through the "Save As" field.
Start Encoding Process
Once you're satisfied with your settings, you can start the process by clicking "Start Encode," or click "Add to Queue" to place it in the queue and start working on another video.
Clicking "Start Encode" initiates the process and saves the output to your destination folder. This can take several minutes depending on your video size and computer specifications.
If you choose to add it to the queue and work on another video, click the Open Source tab and upload your other video(s).
Encoding Multiple Videos at Once
To view, manage, or remove the videos in the queue, click the "Queue" button, which will open a popup with the list. Then, to start encoding the whole queue, click either of the "Start Queue" buttons.
Once the encoding process has finished, you'll find the saved videos in the destination folder you selected, ready to upload to your Fitune account.
